Hope | A WONDER FULL CHRISTMAS
Finding Hope in Mary’s Story This Christmas
The Christmas story begins with an incredible act of faith and hope—Mary’s response to God’s plan for her life. At Friends Church Sacramento, a welcoming Christian church and community, we explored this story in the first week of our series. Mary reminds us that even when life feels uncertain, God’s plans are always worth trusting.
Mary’s Hope in God’s Power
In Luke 1:26-38, Mary is visited by the angel Gabriel, who tells her she will give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. Despite her confusion—“How will this be?”—Mary ultimately surrenders to God’s plan, saying, “I am the Lord’s servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.”
Mary’s trust shows us that hope isn’t found in our circumstances but in God’s power to work through the impossible. No matter what you’re facing, His promises never fail.
