Back to Church Sunday is the day we’re intentionally inviting those God has placed in our lives to come and experience all that He is doing at Friends.

We’ll celebrate together the work of Jesus Christ and give thanks for the ways he has been working in and through our church. We’'ll also spend time dedicating our brand new playground.

It’s the perfect Sunday to bring a friend, a neighbor, or a family member—someone who needs to see what God is doing in our community. Let’s make this a day of celebration, connection, and new beginnings!

And don’t stop there—come back the following week as we launch a brand-new series, The Problem of Church, where we’ll honestly face the hurts, doubts, and roadblocks that have kept many from Jesus, and discover how His grace still brings hope.

Getting Ready

  • Wear what's comfortable for you! Sundays are pretty casual at Friends, so you don't need to stress about dressing up.

  • Bringing yourself is more than enough! We've got the coffee and snacks covered, and you're welcome to enjoy those into the worship center. You'll notice some people like to bring a Bible or notebook with them, but it won't be weird if you don't. We've got Bibles available for you to take home, or you can download the free Bible app on your phone.

  • Whatever's best for you is great for us! Your kids are welcome to stay with you during the service, or you can check them into one of our awesome children's ministry environments for ages one-sixth grade.

Walking In

  • Our campus will have friendly faces ready to welcome you! We want you to feel at home from the moment you walk in. God loves you no matter what and so will we!

  • No one likes feeling lost in a new place, so at Friends, we've made it easy for you to find your way. Every campus has clear signage pointing you in the right direction, and anyone wearing a name tag is ready and waiting to help you out!

  • Feel free to grab coffee and find community. At Friends, we're all about creating spaces where you can find your people and make friends who can help you on your faith journey. And if you're running late, don't worry! There'll be plenty of time after service to connect!

A woman is sitting on a chair at the front of a classroom, pointing to a poster on the wall. Several children are sitting on the floor, some listening attentively, one lying down on a polka-dotted mat, and one child standing near the woman. The classroom has a window with a view outside, a TV mounted on the wall, and educational posters.

Checking in Kids

  • Volunteers will be at the Friends Kids Check-In area with a tablet ready to help you get your information entered and your kids checked in. They’ll talk you through what you’ll need to pick up your kids and direct you to the right room(s) too!

Want to save yourself a step? Pre-register your kids so you can simply check in when you get here!

  • Here are three key ways we keep your kids safe while in our care:

    1. Every volunteer in your kid's ministry area has been vetted and background-checked. Additionally, they are a part of a team who works together to make sure each kid's needs are met.

    2. Our kids' spaces are locked as our service begins to ensure only the people who need to be there are in the children's area.

    3. At check-in, your child receives a name tag with a code. You will receive a parent tag with your child's matching code, which MUST be shown to check your child out at the end of service. The codes change from week to week, so tags cannot be recycled.

Our children's ministry team is there to make check-in easy for you and secure for your kids. Thank you for helping us keep your kids safe!

  • If something comes up with your child and you're needed, one of our volunteers will notify you by phone to come to your child's room.

In the Service

  • Sit where you feel comfortable! Whether you prefer to sneak in the back row or you like a front-row seat, at Friends, you don’t have to worry about taking someone’s spot. If you have trouble finding an open section, our volunteers by the doors would love to help you find somewhere to sit!

  • Our services are designed to be about 1 hour long. This time includes moments of music, teaching, and spiritual direction from the Pastor! Every part of the service is clearly explained, so you won’t have to guess what to do or when to sit or stand.

  • At Friends, we have live music every weekend! We play mostly modern, worship songs along with reflective, powerful moments of praise. You'll be invited to sing along, but you can participate however you're comfortable!

  • Our pastor teaches what the Bible says and gives you relevant and practical steps to grow on your journey with God.
