The Unfinished Task | Joshua 1:1-16
This morning we’re blessed to welcome Scott and Andrea Sward, who have served as missionaries in Cambodia since 2009. Before that, they spent nine years ministering to Cambodian-Americans right here in Long Beach as members of Long Beach Friends Church. In Cambodia, the Swards have focused on training local leaders, reaching the unreached — including in Steung Treng province, where less than 2% of the population professes faith in Christ — and developing Christian materials in the Khmer language.
Having recently completed this season of ministry, the Swards are now transitioning to a new work among the Afghan population in Anaheim. Please join me in welcoming them as they share more about their journey and what’s ahead.
