A Celebration of Hope | Easter 2025

He Didn't Stay Dead – And That Changes Everything

This past Sunday, we gathered to celebrate the most important truth in human history: Jesus is alive.

At Friends Church Sacramento, Easter isn’t just a holiday — it’s the heartbeat of our hope. And in Luke 24:1–12, we see the moment that changed the world. The women came to the tomb expecting death. Instead, they found resurrection.

So many of us live our lives preparing for disappointment. We expect loss. We get used to defeat. But Jesus’ resurrection flips the script:

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” (Luke 24:5-6)

We can stop living like it's all falling apart and start stepping into the resurrection life Jesus promised.
If you’re searching for something real, something hopeful, and something alive — we’d love to welcome you to Friends Church Sacramento.

Looking for a church near you this spring?

Visit us at 4001 E street at 10:30am on Sunday mornings and see what resurrection life is all about.
