When the Crowd Missed Jesus: A Palm Sunday Reflection
Have you ever missed something that was right in front of you?
That’s exactly what happened on the very first Palm Sunday. As Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the crowds were loud with praise—but blind to peace. They expected a conqueror, but He came with compassion. They wanted a political savior, but He offered something deeper: peace for the soul.
This past Sunday, we explored Luke 19:28–44 and asked: Are we any different today?
Too often, we follow Jesus for what we hope He’ll do, rather than for who He actually is. We praise Him with our words, but hold back with our lives. And just like the crowd, we risk missing the peace He offers when we try to fit Him into our mold.
At Friends Church Sacramento, we believe Jesus still offers real peace—and He invites you to experience it. If you're looking for a church near you that’s grounded in Scripture and focused on authentic community, we’d love for you to join us.
